Our Waters

We have some of the most picturesque venues to fish in the south east of England around the village of Penshurst. Offering the angler a variety of species to fish for. The fish on offer for our members are Barbel, Chub, Tench, Pike, Roach, Perch, Bream and specimen Carp which are found in our rivers and lakes.

River Medway

The river offers around 5 miles of unspoilt fishing with most species available to catch, particularly Barbel, Chub, Roach and Pike to a good size. Sections of the river are wild and offer the angler a traditional fishing experience.

River Eden

The Eden comprises of about 1.5 miles on the edge of the village. This provides beautiful scenic water to fish offering the roving angler unspoilt fishing. Species Silverfish, particularly Chub and Pike.

Backwater

The stretch of water close to Penshurst Place offers a river feel, but the flow behaves like a still water. The angler is provided with a wonderful range of fish to catch from Perch, Roach, Rudd, Dace, Bream,Tench, Carp and good sized Pike. This water will now be open to members all year round.

Lancup Well

This beautiful still water lake looks over Penshurst Place, and contains good size Carp with Perch, Roach, Rudd and Bream are prevalent as well.

Long Pond

The Pond provides a back to your early days of fishing the village pond experience enclosed in quiet beautiful woodland surrounding with Crucian Carp being the main fish available to catch, although some nice Tench also reside in the pond but recently have proved elusive.

Tilmans Pond

Tilmans Pond is new water opened in 2016 and is stocked with Tench, silverfish, Roach, Rudd and Bream and is an excellent addition to our society.
